Everyone believed that the reploid scienetist, Dr. Doppler, was helping by eliminating the mysterious Maverick Virus. But one day, Doppler releases hid own virus that quickly spreads and infects the inhabitants of Doppler Town. As the number of infected reploids grew, Dr. Doppler soon gained a large army, which he'll need to fight against the Maverick Hunters, who are already planning to counter attack Doppler.

Neon Tiger helped to build Doppler Town and settled there afterward. He became infected by the virus and became one of Doppler's Maverick leaders. Neon Tiger is made up of many flashy lights, giving him the ability to generate large amounts of light energy he can use as weapons, the wide range Ray Splasher being his most effective attack. He also has special booster claws, giving maximum cutting and slashing power.

Battling Against Neon Tiger

Neon Tiger's only annoying attack is his Ray Splasher. As long as you can avoid it, this fight should be easy. Despite his high speed rating, he's slow during most of the fight, he only gets really fast during some of his attacks. Keeping dashing across the screen, firing off your X-Buster or Spinning Blades(charged recommended) if you have them. With the Blades you can keep knocking back Tiger until he's defeated.

ATTACKS

Claw Block Most of the time if you try to hit Tiger with a fully charged shot while his on the ground, he'll block it and the rest of your shots. Wait til he uses another attack to hit him.

Ray Splasher Tiger fires light shots. An annoying spread attack, but easy to avoid if you get the pattern. What makes it more annoying than the other spread attacks is that Tiger uses it often. Let him shot a couple of times and learn the pattern. Use the wall to help. If you have the vertical dash boots, you can dash over Tiger and hang on the wall behind him until the attacks over. Neon Tiger can also hang onto the wall and fire from there. Stand under him to avoid his shots. Jump up and use the Spinning Blades now if you have them.

Cat Flip Tiger jumps around the screen, landing on one side of the screen if he completes the jump. Just dash away as he comes down.

Burner Slash While hanging on the wall, Tiger will surprise you by jumping right at you and slashing. If you react quickly, you can dash away before he swipes at you.

Rage Dash After he loses a good deal of energy, Tiger starts using this attack. If you rapid fire Tiger, he'll start charging energy. He then dashes forward and leaps up the opposite wall, trying to hit you. Massive damage if he does. Climb up the wall and dash-jump off as Tiger is coming at you. Tiger is invincible during this move.

REWARDS

Ray Splasher Normal: Fires rapid fire shots in two diagonal directions. Charged: Sends a crystal ball above X's head that fires off shots in random directions.
